"Sashiko Thread": it was developed for beginners. As 6 strands of thread are plied tightly, it makes it easier to stitch Sashiko lines. 

"Sashiko Embroider Thread": it was developed for the experienced. As 6 strands of thread are plied very loosely like Embroidery floss no. 25, it makes stitching lines plumb & beautiful.
