Elemental

Elemental is a special collection of Hats featuring short row colourwork knitted sideways. Inspired by Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, these hats explore the 5 elements through yarn bending.

A new grafting technique has been developed to allow the knitter to create a perfect finish across two or more colours. Detailed photographic tutorials are included. The patterns are suitable for tonal or high contrast solid, semi-solid or variegated DK weight yarns.

Due to their construction, each of the patterns in this collection are graded through gauge and/or needle size. The instructions are provided as a panel map - a directional chart - that helps guide you through the short rows, clearly indicating the direction of knitting and stitch counts.
